"Exceptional"
Perfect location on the beach in Stone Town with all the amenities you need. The staff were very helpful. The decor is lovely and we enjoyed two pools. The breakfast selection was expansive. We had a big family room in a nearby building with a bathroom that was huge. On the last day, we stored our bags at the hotel while we did a morning tour of Prison Island. Great place to stay.

Everything, we stayed in the annex where one of the 3 pools is situated and is more private. Room are large with beautiful decor , meticulously clean , good water system. Laundry service reasonable and room service 24 hour. Beach side close to excursion points. Special thanks yo all staff especially manager Kassim , if you need a car look no further . Cant wait to go back , much love Louise and Joan

Rooms were very clean. They have different buildings so I guess that the more expensive rooms are in the main one. They have also three pools and a nice restaurant with sea view.

Great kolonial building with perfect location. Nice pools, breakfast and friendly staff. Small fridge in thermometer and tea/coffee facilities. Nice outside dining facilities. No alcohol.

Nice location in Stone Town, best place for eating in their restaurant on the beach. We live in Zanzibar this was our first time to stay, but we are always here to eat and drink.

The best place to start your journey in Zanzibar. Close to everything. Neat and tidy. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast had a large variety.

At breakfast we especially liked spiced coffee .... and the guy who was making omelettes and the girl making pancakes. In general, all the staff was polite and funny, making jokes but not being intrusive at the same time. The hotel has a certain flair to it...perhaps its history has to do with it. Had lobster for lunch which was super good and normal price.

Perfect location, right on the beach, one step to the sea. The sea view from the king room is breathtaking. The hosts and staff are all friendly and helpful. Do not hesitate to check with them whenever you need any information or to book.a tour.

It was located in the very heart of stonetown, so it will be perfect for those expecting night life. Room was quite small and old but it was very clean and well maintained. I have to mention breakfast was not great,but the fact you can have your meal besides the beach pays off a little bit.

Hotel is located in the heart of the old town on the sea shore directly oposite of Freddie Mercury museum. It's perfect location to explore the old centre of Stone Town and it's main attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They organized taxi for us and let us to rest in the lobby by the pool even after the holidays when we were not accommodated there anymore. It's one of the best hotels in Stone Town. I can only recommend it.

I liked the fact that they could take into consideration our requests and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean,lots of variety on breakfast. Security very good.

- great location, beautiful sunset observed - beautiful colonial building, which made you feel like you transported to the past - really good facilities - 3 pools (one of them infinity), nice area to relax, even a mini-private beach with sun lounges - helpful staff - very fairly priced - stayed in much more expensive places in Tanzania and had much worse experience

Beautiful hotel, in an excellent location- safe, comfy beds, excellent showers, international television, wonderful staff, walking distance to everything, bank exchange and pharmacy 1 block away. Great restaurant nearby, excellent shopping. 1 block to Freddy Mercury museum and 5 minutes to slave museum. Easy access to spice tours and snorkeling

honest,y everything about our stay was super pleasant. the rooms are extremely spacious and the hotel is so nice and homey. Nothing luxurious but it was just right for my group of friends. the location is also perfect for stone town exploration. If you need a hotel to stay in in Zanzibar dont hesitate to book this place!! PS The breakfast and location of the hotel restaurant is amazing!!

Its located near the port, markets and many restaurants. Its clean and the breakfast is good. The staff are really the highlight, very friendly and helpful. Ali was superb and helped us so much finding tours and telling us a bit more about the local culture.
